A Dream Born from a Documentary,
A Journey with Our PatientsWhen I was young, I happened to watch a documentary about people who avoided going outside due to facial deformities.
That was the first time I felt the desire to "help these people," and I decided to become a plastic surgeon.
However, after becoming a doctor, I sometimes experienced frustration because I couldn't fully understand the patients' concerns.
Every patient experiences different struggles, and it was difficult to find their unique charm rather than applying standardized beauty.
Amidst these reflections, I realized that an increasing number of patients were considering hair transplants.
Seeing people hesitate for various reasons such as pain, post-operative care, and design, I began to contemplate a better approach.
As a result, MOMO Plastic Surgery was born. -

The Value of Hair Transplantation
Experienced as Both Doctor and PatientIn 2021, I underwent a non-incisional hair transplant.
The extraction from the donor area was performed without shaving (No-Cut), and because there were no visible signs after the surgery, I was able to return to my practice the very next day.
At that time, the aspect I considered most important was the hairline design.
Ultimately, I was deeply fascinated by hair transplantation that fills in the lacking areas while maintaining the natural look of an M-shaped hairline.
By transplanting 3,078 hairs, I achieved the design I desired, and as a result, I was able to regain my confidence.
Through this experience, I came to understand that a hair transplant is not just a simple procedure, but a process of restoring our patients' self-esteem. -

Research and PhilosophyHair transplantation is not simply the process of planting hair; it must be performed with careful consideration of the hair's direction, angle, and density distribution.
The optimal hairline inevitably varies depending on the patient's age, gender, and facial shape.
With these considerations in mind, we surveyed 3,000 individuals in their 20s and 30s regarding their preferred forehead proportions and hairline designs based on facial shapes, thoroughly preparing to provide better results for our patients.
In particular, we collaborated with hair designers and fashion experts to combine the latest trends with medical science. We focused on creating hairlines that go beyond merely natural results to accentuate the unique charm of each individual patient.
All these efforts began with a genuine empathy for our patients.
Moving forward, we will continue to establish MOMO's unique standards based on our patient-centric design and philosophy. -

My Mission as a DoctorAmong my hair transplant patients, the most memorable cases have been the highly difficult transplants.
Challenging cases, such as extensive hair loss or scalps damaged by burns, have left me with a profound sense of fulfillment.
Improving a patient's quality of life and helping them regain their confidence goes beyond a simple medical procedure; it is about creating a turning point in their lives.
These experiences have instilled in me a sense of mission to constantly research and evolve, allowing me to convey the message that transforming our patients' lives directly elevates their quality of life. -

Recently, we became the first in Korea to introduce the AI hair transplant device, 'ARTAS iX'.
It reduces human error and enables precise designs that are difficult to achieve by human hands alone. While it still requires the expertise of skilled medical professionals, we are constantly contemplating and learning to achieve even better results.
Hair transplantation is not a simple procedure.
